The Ovilus 5 is the latest is in spirit box tech, and its purpose is to help paranormal investigators detect and communicate with ghosts. It has eight different modes, which includes dictionary mode, energy mode, draw mode, phonetic mode, and proximity sensing and much more. Each mode is designed to help you connect with supernatural beings in different ways.
The Ovilus works by continually monitoring environmental readings, and each reading relates to different words and phrases. This allows spirits to manipulate the environment in order to get messages through to you. It’s built using a range of advanced sensors to detect changes within the environment. It makes it quick and simple for ghost hunters to capture evidence during a paranormal investigation.
Ovilus Modes
The Ovilus 5 is a priceless tool for paranormal investigators, and it helps to gather evidence during a ghost hunt. It saves time and brings more reliable results than other tools. It’s simple to use and its idea for ghost hunters of any experience levels.
The Ovilus gives you many modes to play with, which all work in slightly different ways. This makes communication easier for spirits, as you can always find a mode they can work with. There’s the dictionary mode, true/false, drawing, phenetic, energy, motion, vibration and proximity. Each of the screens is displayed in a way which is easy to understand and to see changes in the surroundings.

Dictionary Mode
The primary mode on the Ovilus is the dictionary mode. This mode is designed to assist ghost hunters with speaking with spirits. Whilst in this mode, each environmental reading is linked to a different word or phrase. It allows near direct communication between the device user and the spirit realm.
When using this mode, you’ll see the chosen words on screen, and you’ll hear them audibly. There are 2048 words preprogrammed into the Ovilus, giving the spirits more than enough words to choose from to get their message across. This communication method is based on the theory of ITC, where ghosts can manipulate the surrounding EMF energy fluctuations with words. You will not hear any random words from this device, they are determined when surrounding energy levels fluctuate.
Log Mode
There’s a built-in log mode, which allows you to see the entire list of previously spoken words. This feature is handy for referring to words that came out previously whilst using dictionary mode.
Draw Mode
The Ovilus 5 draw mode picks up changes in the environment, and displays them in coloured pixels on the screen. This gives you a visual representation of the environment, and may even allow ghosts to draw images for you. The device will draw blocks across its display in the colours related to the environment. It’s a unique feature to the Ovilus, and potentially allows ghosts to present images to us.
Motion and Proximity Modes
Motion and Proximity Modes leverage the device’s built-in accelerometer to display changes in motion, making it possible to see even minor movements. Motion Mode is designed to capture and visualize vibrations and contact, making it an effective tool for identifying actions like footsteps or the movement of objects.
Proximity Mode, on the other hand, specializes in detecting motion within a specific area or room. It’s ideal for investigators aiming to focus on particular locations during their investigations. Energy levels in this mode are represented through a radial graph, offering a unique perspective on the data. While Proximity Mode handles similar types of data as Energy Mode, it provides a distinct visualization and includes a proximity alert feature for more targeted detection.
Energy Mode
Energy Mode presents a graph resembling an EMF spectrum, intended to track fluctuations in the electromagnetic field, often interpreted as indications of paranormal presence. It visualizes energy levels through a sine wave, akin to what one might observe on an oscilloscope.
This presentation method enables you to see the variations in energy fields in real-time, as opposed to just viewing a static average value, which is typical of a magnetometer (EMF meter). Although it might seem like Energy Mode reacts to physical vibrations, it’s actually tuning into variations in static and electromagnetic fields.
True/False Mode
This mode evaluates energy fluctuations to generate a simple Yes/No or True/False output. It operates by showing a green light when energy levels rise and a red light when they fall. It provides an easy method for obtaining binary responses such as Yes/No, Good/Bad, Male/Female. This mode allows for rapid and limitless binary questioning.
Phonetic Mode
If you’re interested in enabling entities to create words not found in a standard dictionary, Phonetic Mode is you’re go-to. Speech consists of phonetics, the fundamental sounds from which words are formed. This mode collects these sounds, offering the potential for the emergence of words outside the conventional dictionary, including unique names, places, slang, and even words in different languages. In Phonetic Mode, there are no pre-existing words, just the essential components of speech.
Settings Screen
The Settings Screen offers control over various features of the Ovilus. You can adjust the volume, mute the speaker, clear logs, and customize the dictionary voice according to your preference. Thanks to its intuitive touchscreen interface, accessing and adjusting your desired settings is effortless.

I love it, works great out in the field. It gives the dead a way to communicate with a clear sound. This works much better than having to guessing what was said.
